Workshops We Offer:

• PRISON-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX 101: Putting the pieces together, participants will get to see a bigger picture of the prison-industrial complex, how it affects them and their communities, and how they can take action to dismantle the PIC.


• TEACH US, DON'T CUFF US - JUVENILE (IN)JUSTICE IN NYC: This workshop breaks down what's happening inside New York City schools, especially with an increase in NYPD presence that has shortened what we call "The School to Prison Pipeline." In this workshop, young people see the dollar for dollar trade off between education and incarceration/policing. As more money funnels from schools and social services to prisons and policing, it's time to unite to fight back for our communities!



• A WORLD WITHOUT: Participants in this workshop begin to think and step outside the box as they are led through an exercise where we envision a world without prisons or police. How does our communites solve it's problems? How can the power of the people challenge the myth that more prisons and police make our communities safer?

3. Email this form with subject heading 'Attention: Teach Justice' to: teachjustice@nomoreprisons.org.
   1. Keep in mind that your request date should be at least 3-4 weeks after your submission date.
   2. If you can not email, please print out your complete form and fax to 718.260.0070. Please put 'Attention: Teach Justice'.
   
   
4. Once we review it you will either receive a call or an email from the Workshop Coordinator.

Fees:

1. Workshops: $75 for local; $150 for outside NYC (plus transportation in some cases)


2. Speaker (event or panel):  $200-$2000, please ask us for details


3. Training/Technical Assistance: To Be Determined (TBD) depending on preparation and tailoring needs
